Live Portfolio
Photos ranging from 2005 to the present. The majority being from 2009 and on. Much of my work takes place in many Columbus Ohio bars and concert halls. The rest are scattered among festivals throughout the country. Bands include: Total Navajo, Lionel the Jailbird, Buffalo Killers, The Alpine Ghost, The Energy Clinic, Your Average Criminals, Shrub, and Phish among others. Put on some tunes and enjoy the ride. -
The Mount De Chantal
This is a body of photographs that presents the beauty of the Mount. This building needs to be preserved and deserves to exist well into the future. http://zaneamiller.squarespace.com/blog/2010/4/30/save-the-mount.html -
Highway Photons
At night, cruising down the highways in Iowa and Illinois. It's flat and horizon lines are very far away. Lights are everywhere, constantly moving on Earth's plain and drifting by. The stage is constantly changing and the characteristics are only existent for an instance. Stretch time. See the light in its candid form, free from bias. -
Super Ball IX (Icks)

Concerts and Music Festivals

Chihuly and the Franklin Park Conservatory
Created January of 2010. This is a set from my first real shoot with my new camera. Chihuly and nature were meant to be together. It is almost as if the glass grows naturally among the plants in the Franklin Park Conservatory. -
Monongahela National Forest
These are just some of my photographs from Monongahela National Forest and Seneca Rocks in West Virginia which were taken during the weekend of October 10, 2009. Thanks for letting me use your camera Jon. -
Vukovich Center, Allegheny College

Grasping Photons Single Layer Work
Created in the Spring of 2009, Grasping Photons is a body of work in which I focused on creating a record of the motion and time. In particular, the record of light emitting objects as they are moved through the plain of view. A large part of this body was the result of true experimentation and play as an artist. These images are as they were originally photographed; they have not been digitally altered -
Grasping Photons Layered Works
Created among Grasping Photons, these images are layered images which are the collective harmonies of many single images. The single images that make these compositions act similarly to instruments in a band. Alone they don't do well but together they create great images. -
Steffee Hall, Allegheny College
Fall 2008: Steffee Hall is a structure created with geometry, and naturally, moss manages to grow on the relatively new building, while rain makes puddles that ripple with light on the roof floor. Sunlight breaks through the partly cloudy ski to create shadows that mirror the structural components in an echoing spiritual sense. The natural and geometric relationship that my work portrays glorifies a tradition of architectural shapes and forms that have stayed relatively constant since the beginning of civilization. -
Abandoned Structures, Meadville PA
Created in the fall of 2007, I focused on generating a body of work that presented light, geometry, and decay, among buildings that are being destroyed by nature in humanity's absence. -
Of Nature and Architecture
